On June 1, 2019, on the International Children's Day, the “Angels” event took place in non-CIS countries, dedicated the memory of Donbass dead children of Donbass.
This year, the geography of foreign participants in the action has expanded significantly. The event was supported not only by our like-minded people from European countries, in particular from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Serbia, Italy, but also by representatives of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Our foreign friends have chosen different ways to commemorate Donbass dead children: someone released balloons into the sky, someone launched sky lanterns, someone lit commemorative candles. But each of those who took part in this action showed the whole world their solidarity with the people of Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, for whom June 1 is not only a bright and joyful celebration of childhood, but also a day when tribute is paid to the youngest victims of military actions in Donbass.
On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we thank all our like-minded people for their willingness to support the residents of Donbass.
