The ceremony was attended by:
1) chairman of the "Finland-Russia" Friendship Society Daria Skippari-Smirnov;
2) artist and public figure Serguei Zlenko;
3) journalists of information resources "Vastavalkea" and "Ilta-Sanomat";
4) journalist of international news agency DONAI Jarmo Ekman;
5) representatives of the Finnish public.
The Chairman of the DPR Representative Center in Finland, Johan Bäckman, started the solemn ceremony, giving a welcoming speech. He expressed the hope that the Center's activities will contribute to the fight against the media blackout, which hides the truth about the real situation in Donbass from the Europeans.
Mr. Bäckman also read congratulations of the DPR Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Nikonorova, in which the head of the Republic's Foreign Ministry thanked the Finnish like-minded people for tremendous work that made possible this grand opening of the DPR official Representative Center in Finland.
The honorary guests also read the congratulations and small reports on the situation in Donbass.
In addition, during the event, an online meeting took place with the director of the international news agency DONAI, Janus Putkonen. Mr. Putkonen, being a citizen of Finland and the Donetsk People's Republic, congratulated compatriots on the significant event, expressing confidence in the successful and fruitful work of the Center.
At the end of the ceremony, guests and staff signed a letter of thanks addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People's Republic, in which they expressed their intention to progressively develop relations between the Donetsk People's Republic and Finland in the field of culture, economy, science, information, tourism and other spheres.
