Today, at the meeting of the Contact group on security issues, the Ukrainian side used its favorite style of negotiations to evade responsibility for non-fulfillment of its obligations after the outright sabotage of the decisions taken on October 1 to eliminate violations in the previously disengaged areas "Petrovskoye-Bogdanovka" and "Zolotoye".

"Ukrainian representatives, ignoring not only our arguments, but also the OSCE coordinators, continue to insist on the condition of observance of the seven-day silence regime. Firstly, this condition is applicable only for a new stage of disengagement, while we are facing the elimination of violations in previously disengaged areas. Secondly, the regime of silence should operate on a permanent basis, and if the armed formations of Ukraine uphelt it, there would be no claims on the seven-day regime," - Nikonorova said.

At the same time, the plenipotentiary emphasized that the OSCE SMM recorded the last shelling of the village of Petrovskoye on September 28 and it was from the side of Ukraine.

"We are concerned about the situation and in this regard, we call on the OSCE leadership and the guarantor countries of the Minsk agreements to exert influence on the Ukrainian authorities to begin the process of eliminating violations in the previously disengaged pilot areas as soon as possible, and resolve the situation as a whole," - the DPR plenipotentiary said.

Also during the meeting of the Contact group, Natalia Nikonorova stressed the need to take more effective steps to ensure the ceasefire, because the situation along the contact line is becoming more critical every day.

According to her, a real and sustainable truce can be achieved if a number of conditions set out in additional measures for control and stabilizitation of the ceasefire regime are met. In particular, the Ukrainian side must finally proceed to the condition of conducting proceedings on the facts of violations and the application of strict disciplinary measures to violators.
