The meeting of the Contact group in humanitarian field was devoted to discussing not the approved agenda items, but procedural issues that Kiev used to disrupt the previous meeting.
“Today Mr. Reznikov accused us of blackmail and provocations due to the involvement of Maya Pirogova in the negotiations of the working groups. But the Ukrainian party simply does not have any right to accuse us, since it is not us, but Ukraine that has not yet fulfilled its obligations on the procedural clearing of persons and other agreements reached. Although here we are talking not just about some nominal concepts, but fates of real people. Kiev has enough cynicism to absolutely disregard these people, violate their rights and freedoms, but at the same time to put forward absurd accusations against us, thus trying to influence the composition of our delegation in the Minsk process. In such a situation, the question arises: what is more important to the Ukrainian authorities? Some artificially created principles or real people?” - Natalia Nikonorova emphasized.
Once again, we draw the attention of Ukrainian representatives: instead of wasting the negotiation time on voicing meaningless statements the negotiators from Ukraine would better refresh their memory of obligations, re-read the documents they signed within the framework of the peace process and finally begin to implement them in coordination with us.
