According to the agreement reached at the Contact Group sitting held on January 16, the Donetsk People's Republic sent proposals to the OSCE SMM indicating three locations, as well as a list of corresponding coordinates and a map of potential sites for the disengagement of forces and hardware.

The options were formed on the basis of proposals by law enforcement agencies taking into account the security interests of the borders of the Donetsk People's Republic, including reducing tension on the contact line in order to ensure maximum security for civilians.

At the last meeting of the Contact Group's security working group in Minsk, representatives of Ukraine were not ready to provide the exact coordinates of their location options for new disengagement areas, which did not allow us to proceed to a specific discussion.

We hope that the Ukrainian party, as well as the Republic, will fulfill its obligations on time and at the next meeting on January 29 there will be something for the negotiators to discuss in detail.

In addition, taking into accout the fact that all three pilot sites - the areas of Stanitsa Luganskaya, the villages of Zolotoe and Petrovskoe were proposed by the Ukrainian side, we expect that this time the proposals of Republics will become priority for approval.
