Recent speech of the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg discourages with its absolute unprecedentedness of said. Mr. Stoltenberg demanded Russian Federation to recall the recognition of the two independent countries – Ossetia and Abkhazia naming the fact of their existence as a direct violation of international law.

Therefore, we would like to remind that the recognition of one state by another is not a subject to discuss by the side of third countries. Such statements can be qualified as an attempt of interference in the internal affairs of the state. Also we would like to refresh the memory of supporters of such initiatives by mentioning that Republic of South Ossetia and Republic of Abkhazia paid a high price for their independence and such attempts to “return” them into Georgia can be regarded only as barbarian ones. The world hasn’t seen such «initiatives» since Munich events at 1938 the results of which we still remember. The play of particular countries the «big politics» may cost much today.

Donetsk People`s Republic expresses its solidarity with the brotherly countries and their peoples. We are ready to support our friends and call on all sane international forces to turn their attention to any detailed attempt to «reconsideration» of status by various countries.
