A statement of OSCE Special Representative Martin Sajdik fundamentally contradicts to the agreements that were approved at the highest international level – at the UN Security Council level. Moreover, the Complex of measures includes, among other things, a signature of the OSCE representative, which makes the document obligatory for implementation by this international organization. Instead, we see a try to sabotage the Minsk process by a high-ranking OSCE official, who questions the effectiveness of this reputable international organization, despite the fact that its direct responsibility is to coordinate and facilitate the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
We consider categorically unacceptable any activity to destroy the implementation of documents signed in Minsk, which contains the only and non-alternative plan for a peaceful resolving of conflict.
In accordance with the Complex of measures, it is necessary to coordinate all aspects of peaceful settlement with the Republics, and not just “to hear” our opinion. We urge Mr. Sajdik not to jeopardize his professional reputation, nullifying all the efforts of parties to implement the Minsk agreements.
