Form today the implementation of the Humanitarian Program for reunification of Donbass people and support of the Russian-speaking population on the territory of Ukraine has been launched in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The DPR head Denis Pushilin has already signed the corresponding decree. The DPR Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Nikonorova told about it at the International Forum "Defense of Russians: Protection of Rights and Freedoms", which began work in Donetsk on April 22.

“First of all, support will be provided to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, not only in Donbass, but throughout Ukraine. These are people who, due to their age and the absolutely inhuman attitude of the Ukrainian authorities, need special attention, support and assistance” - the DPR Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized.

Then Natalia Nikonorova announced the beginning of assistance to teachers of the Russian language, literature and history living in Ukraine.

“They are now in a very difficult situation. Many of them have either lost their jobs altogether or are forced to teach other disciplines. We consider it blasphemous that the current young Ukrainian generation does not have the opportunity to study the great Russian language, literature, our common real and objective history, but not distorted by nationalist propaganda" - she emphasized, adding that in this direction, the implementation of the Humanitarian Program provides for monetary support for such teachers.

The DPR Foreign Minister announced the expansion of medical support for compatriots, where, in addition to the possibility of vaccination, rehabilitation assistance is also provided for people who have already had coronavirus.

Among the new directions of the Humanitarian Program are: the possibility of providing education in DPR universities to young people from Ukraine; for those who can no longer tolerate the Nazi regime in Ukraine, assistance will be provided in moving them to the DPR for permanent residence. Assistance will also be provided in the preservation of historical monuments, memorials that are important for the Russian world, perpetuating significant personalities.

Within the framework of the Humanitarian Program, the implementation of the previously existing directions will continue, including the provision of one-time financial assistance through the United Donbass Fund to people in difficult life circumstances.
