According to the plenary session agenda, as part of the annual government hour program, the deputies heard a report by the DPR Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Nikonorova.
In her report, Natalia Nikonorova summed up the results of the foreign department that she headed during the reporting period.
"As a participant in the Minsk process, which is the main platform for dialogue with foreign countries, the Donetsk People's Republic has established itself as a reliable and responsible partner for negotiations. We always support the strict implementation of all signed documents within the framework of the Minsk negotiating process (the Protocol of the Tripartite contact group on September 5, 2014, the Memorandum of September 19, 2014, the Package of Measures for implementation of the Minsk Agreements of February 15, 2015) and do everything necessary for a peaceful settlement in accordance with the norms of international law".
The head of the Foreign Ministry also said that in 2017, high interest of the world public to the Donetsk People's Republic remained. During the reporting period 48 delegations from the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, the Lugansk People's Republic, the Russian Federation, Greece, Italy, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Serbia have visited our state.
According to Natalia Nilonorova one more key direction of the Foreign Ministry of the Donetsk People's Republic is an information activity. In conditions when, in addition to military aggression, there is also an information war against our Republic, this sphere acquires a strategic character. So, within the framework of public diplomacy and in order to strengthen the positions of the Donetsk People's Republic at the international level in 2017, three representative centers of the Donetsk People's Republic were solemnly opened. In addition to already existing representative centers of the Donetsk People's Republic in the Czech and Italian Republics, on March 21 was solemnly opened the Representative Center in Athens, Greece, on September 25, the opening was held of the Representative Center in Marseille, France, and also on December 9, the official opening was also held of the Representative Center in Helsinki, Finland.
Also Natalia Nikonorova drew attention to success of the Humanitarian Program for the reunification of Donbass people, announced by the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic on February 17, 2017. "We can safely say that the Humanitarian Program enjoys great interest: more than 32,000 appeals from residents of Donbass have been received to the hot lines and website. In 10 months since the launch of the Humanitarian Program, almost 14,500 people living in the territory of the Donetsk region, temporarily under Ukraine’s control, made use of services within the framework of the Humanitarian Program. These are payments to the Great Patriotic War veterans (115 payments) and employees of the coal industry (347 payments), payments to citizens who are really in a difficult life situation (1,227 payments), medical care (511 patients), provision of educational services for residents of the Donetsk region, temporarily controlled by Ukraine, in in educational institutions of the Donetsk People's Republic (694 people)".
Natalia Nikonorova reported on the work of a Special Committee for recording and collecting the evidence of war crimes of the Ukrainian authorities in Donbass, which was established according to the order of the DPR Head No. 78 of May 30, 2016. "By the end of this year, 9,120 cases have been formed. Our goal is to restore justice and, with the help of international judicial and human rights organizations, to bring to account those Ukrainian military and civil battalions, which are guilty of outrages and crimes against humanity in Donbass. "
At the end of her speech, Natalia Nikonorova thanked the deputy stuff for fruitful joint work and expressed hope for further cooperation.
