The DPR Ambassador to Russia Olga Makeeva holds a meeting with the DPRK Ambassador to Russia Sin Hong Chol

Today, on July 29, the DPR Embassy in the Russian Federation hosted a working meeting of the DPR Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Olga Makeeva with the DPRK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation Sin Hong Chol.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed in detail the possibility of further cooperation in all sectors of the national economy: industry, agriculture, construction, trade, healthcare, education, culture, and others.

The DPRK Ambassador, for his part, expressed readiness to provide full support to the DPR government in implementing the agreements reached on bilateral cooperation.

Also, Mr. Sin Hong Chol stressed that after the opening of the borders of the DPRK and the lifting of covid restrictions, relations with the DPR will have great potential in the trade and economic direction and in the field of labor migration. The DPRK is already ready to consider cooperation projects in order to immediately begin their implementation after the opening of the borders. The Ambassador also expressed readiness for close cooperation with the DPR Embassy and personal efforts to promote the development of interstate relations.

In turn, Olga Makeeva expressed her willingness to cooperate in all the indicated areas, invited the DPRK to participate in the organization and work of the international tribunal for Ukrainian and mercenary war criminals, conveyed greetings from the Head of the DPR to the leadership of the DPRK and announced Denis Pushilin's readiness to visit North Korea and hold a meeting with the head of state Kim Jong-un and she also handed Mr. Sin Hong Chol a note to the North Korean Foreign Ministry with a proposal to establish diplomatic relations. 

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged memorable gifts.
