DPR and LPR Representatives spoke to participants from 17 states at the UN Security Council meeting

     On December 2, a meeting of the UN Security Council on Arria-Formula was held on the subject: “Implementation of the 2015 Minsk Package of Measures to settle the situation in Ukraine: a year after the Paris Normandy Format summit”. 

For the first time, representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics spoke in the UN: the head of the DPR Foreign Ministry, the DPR plenipotentiary representative in the Contact group for the settlement of conflict in Donbass Natalia Nikonorova and the LPR Foreign Minister, LPR plenipotentiary representative in Minsk negotiations Vladislav Deinego.

    The meeting, which was initiated and organized by the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the UN, was attended by representatives of 17 countries: China, Indonesia, Niger, Dominican Republic, Belarus, Morocco, Egypt, India, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vietnam, Syria, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vanuatu, Algeria, Tunisia.

    Mikhail Pogrebinsky, a representative of political science of Ukraine, director of the Kiev Center for Political Research and Conflictology, also spoke about his vision of the Minsk negotiation process prospects.
During the event, representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics answered questions and remarks from the representatives of Belarus, China, Indonesia.
