May 24-28, the students of Donetsk National University Philipp Ponomarenko and Egor Dibrov took part in scientific-educational program for young international specialists « IX Diplomatic Seminar» with assistance of the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This event took place in Kaliningrad and Svetlogorsk (Kaliningradskaya Oblast, Russia) organized by the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund.
More than thirty young specialists from 13 countries took part in the work of scientific-educational program. Within the framework of event presentations were made of countries-participants.
Young specialists from Donetsk managed to present the information to the audience on the real life in the region, the realization of the Minsk Agreements, social and humanitarian help from Russia.
At the end of the event the participants were given certificates on successful passing of the seminar.
Background information. The project has been implementing since 2012. During this time more than 200 specialists and experts from 20 former Soviet Union and non-CIS countries took part in it. For many of them the arrival to the seminar became the incentive for further scientific and social-political activities. This year on the results of open competitions 34 young specialists from 13 countries were invited to take part in it.
The event’s aim – to bring to the young academic and social sphere the position of the Russian Federation and its partners on the most current issues of international cooperation. The lectures and seminars are planned devoted to the system of the European security, information wars and propaganda, EEU and other integration projects, policy of sanctions, and ways of solving the Ukrainian crisis.
