Seven years ago, overnight into August 8 2008, Tskhinvali was hit by massive artillery shelling by Georgian troops that caused hundreds of casualties among South Ossetian civilians. Lives of innocent women, old people and children were ruthlessly broken by this blatant shelling, which Georgian government fully and completely is in charge of.
And today, on the August 8, on the occasion of anniversary of tragic events in the South Ossetia, upon an initiative of Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia Taimuraz Gibizov, memorable event took place in Donetsk.
At 10 AM near the DPR MFA and RSO representative office building everyone who wanted joined there to honor the memory of fraternal nation. After Mr. Gibizov memorable speech flower laying took place in a memory of victims.
Besides, in this day memorial service on victims of Georgian government’s military aggression was held in the temple of St. John the Warrior (Donetsk).
