On December 23, the first international teleconference was held in the Center for Youth Diplomacy LEGATUS within the framework of the new youth project “Diplomacy without Borders”. The project was initiated by the Center itself and is carried out with the support of the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event was attended by students from the DPR, Italy, France, Switzerland and the UK.

The number of participants included representatives of LEGATUS, students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​and the Faculty of History of the Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy of Donetsk National University took part from the DPR.

Foreign countries were represented by students from the University of Turin (Italy), the Institute of Socio-Economic and Political Sciences (France), the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (Switzerland) and the College of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London (Great Britain).

The videoconference was held in English, the meeting was moderated by a representative of the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event was dedicated to the topic "Education and the media sphere in the world of new challenges." At the beginning representatives of LEGATUS told their foreign associates about the history and activities of the Center for Youth Diplomacy, and gave a short excursion to the events in the Donetsk People's Republic.

During the meeting, participants presented their reports and held discussions on such issues as ways to raise awareness of the international agenda among young people, virtual learning technologies in educational institutions, their accessibility for independent education, Metavers technology, security of communication channels on the Internet in a remote environment, as well as on other issues.

During the teleconference, a lively discussion took place on a number of topics, guys from the Republic were actively interested in various aspects of education and public life in European countries. Participants from foreign countries, in turn, expressed solidarity and support for Donbass.

The result of the event was the achievement of an agreement on the organization and conduct of an international youth forum dedicated to digital diplomacy.
