Today, on December 26, 2017, in Donetsk, the winners of the international contest of art works and photos "War and Peace through children’s eyes" were awarded.
The ceremony was attended by:
- Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic Natalia Nikonorova.
- Deputy Minister of Culture of the Donetsk People’s Republic Vera Krakhmalyuk.
- Winner of the contest, second position, Timur Kolesnik.
- Winner of the contest, third position, Anastasia Sushko.
Welcoming the speech, Natalia Nikonorova noted the importance of holding such international competitions:
"Today we are announcing the results of the art photo contest, which was initiated by members of our Representative Center in Athens and conducted with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture. It is very important that our Greek like-minded people hold similar contests, thanks to which the European public will know real situation in Donbass."
Also Natalia Nikonorova read out a congratulatory address from one of the Greek organizers, Chairman of the Representative Center of the Donetsk People’s Republic in Greece, Director of the F.M.Dostoyevsky Institute Andreas Zafeiris.
Vera Krohmalyuk in her turn congratulated the winners on their places and wished them further creative development.
At the end of the event Natalia Nikonorova presented the winners with money prizes and a message from Mr. Zafeiris, and Vera Krohmalyuk handed over souvenirs from the Ministry of Culture of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The contest was held in June-August 2017 at the initiative of the Representative Center of the Donetsk People’s Republic in Greece and with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
127 people from Greece, DPR and LPR took part in the competition.
