The Ceriano Larghetto commune in the Province of Monza and Brianza in the Italian Lombardy region named a square in honor of the people who died in Odessa during the fascist occupation and the victims of Odessa carnage in May, 2014.

On the 2th January, 2015 the official commune site, reports, that such decision was made in connection with the desire of municipal administration to commemorate victims of mass Jewish execution in 1941, and also in a memory of «recent episode happened in the Black Sea town, where dozens of unarmed pro-Russian marchers were killed hiding in Dom Profsojuzov in order to avoid collision with supporters of self-proclaimed Kiev government»

The Square Martyrs of Odessa will be located on the opposite side of the commune post office.
