Sitting of a Special Committee on collection of evidence of the Ukrainian authorities’ crimes took place in the DPR MFA

According to the Decree of the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic №78 (from May 30, 2016), the Special Committee was created on recording and collecting the evidence of war crimes of the Ukrainian authorities in Donbass.

The DPR Acting Foreign Minister Natalya Nikonorova was appointed as the chairman of this Committee. The committee includes the member of the DPR People’s Council Ekaterina Gubareva, the DPR Acting Minister of Information Elena Nikitina, the DPR Ombudsman Darya Morozova, the leading expert of the department of methodic and juridical protection of children of State-juridical office of the DPR Head Administration Eleonora Fedorenko and also the representatives of the DPR Ministry of State Security, the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the DPR Office of Prosecutor General. 

At the first sitting of the Special Committee that took place on June 6, the organizational and administrative issues were discussed on further work of a committee and also the directions of cooperation with juridical and private individuals including the public monitoring committee and the Republic bodies of the executive power.

Today, 9 June 2016, at the second meeting of the Special Committee within the agenda framework the regulations were reviewed «On Special Committee on recording and collecting the evidence of war crimes of the Ukrainian authorities in Donbass». Besides in the course of the meeting the decision was made to involve the experts from the DPR Ministry of Healthcare, the DPR Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utility Infrastructure, the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations and the DPR Ministry of Defense.

Next sitting is planned at 20 June 2016. The key agenda – classification of the available evidence base of the Ukrainian Army war crimes against the Republic population.
