On December 18, in Rome, near the building of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a protest was held against the EU decision on the non-recognition of Russian passports, issued, in particular, on the territory of South Ossetia, Abkhazia, the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics.
Activists with the flags of Russia, South Ossetia, Abkhazia and the Republics of Donbass came out against the infringement of their rights and in support of Russia, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics.
“The ban on freedom of movement is a form of racism and shameful discrimination not only on a political but also on an ethnic basis,” said Mauro Murgia, representative of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry in Italy.
