On March 19, unknown people desecrated the monument of Soviet soldiers who died for the independence and freedom of Greece, depicting on it the symbol of one of the neo-Nazi battalions in Ukraine.
The inhabitants of Athens reacted very painfully to this vandalism. The monument was cleaned up on the same day, and today Russians, Greeks and Ukrainians bring flowers, St. George's ribbons and Russian flags to it.
The protesters also carry a banner “No to the imperialist war. Stop dragging Greece into the war."
