The Ukrainian side represented by its representatives, does not abandon attempts to shift the blame for the sabotage of the Minsk agreements onto other states.

Thus, the press secretary of the Ukrainian delegation stated that participation of DPR and LPR in elections to State Duma is “a gross violation of international and national law of Ukraine and practically the abolition of the Minsk agreements by the Russian party."

This statement of by Ukrainian media representative is another attempt to distort reality, since:

• Holding of elections to government bodies of the Russian Federation is a matter of Russian law, not international law;

• There is not a single mention of a ban to exercise of electoral rights for citizens of the Russian Federation in the text of Package of measures on implementation of Minsk agreements;

• Donbass Residents voting in elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation exercise their constitutional right as citizens of the Russian Federation, and not as citizens of the Republics or Ukraine.

Thus, the Ukrainian authorities should pay less attention to their Russian colleagues, and spend more time on the implementation of their obligations under the Minsk agreements, which they do not fulfill, but regularly try to shift the responsibility for this onto anyone.
